During World War II, the need for steel for the war effort meant finding other materials, so Buddy L produced wood toy car and truck vehicles during those years. This was a substantial line of much smaller toys but included all the usual fire trucks, dump trucks and even a wood taxi. The toys often had a decal the read “Buddy L Victory Toys” Unlike the steel toys of the 1930’s these were manufactured in Glens Falls, New York.
