The rarest Buddy L  is the tug boat. This line was prohibitively expensive for many. The boat sold for $27.00 in 1926. The tugboats featured a working motor to propel the boat through the water. Collectors estimate only 6 tugboats with working motors survived. Boats were green in color but a very few were painted red and are thought to be salesman’s samples.
